Malta Tourism Authority sponsors the Try Dive with BSAC 2009 campaign

BSAC together with the Malta Tourism Authority launched its ‘Try Dive with BSAC 2009’ campaign, designed to introduce learning to dive to a completely new audience.

‘Try Dive with BSAC’ ran throughout September when, members of the public experienced scuba diving in the safe and friendly confines of their local swimming pool, under the expert instruction of a BSAC branch.

This new relationship with MTA is an exciting development for both for Malta and BSAC and its members and lays the foundation for a strong and significant partnership between the two organisations. As well as sponsoring this year’s Try Dive campaign, MTA has also become the latest BSAC Travel Partner and will be working to provide BSAC members benefits, offers and added value on an exclusive basis.

Alex Incorvaja, MTA UK & Ireland Director, welcomed the partnership: “It gives me great pleasure for Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) to be the Try Dive 2009 campaign sponsor and Travel Partner with BSAC. With our association with BSAC, the MTA hopes to attract even more divers to Malta, offering many of the BSAC members an exciting destination with a compliment of options ideal for both novice and experienced divers.”

BSAC Chief Executive Mary Tetley believes that MTA is the ideal sponsor partner for Try Dive 2009.

“This is an important new member recruitment campaign for BSAC – and a great way to showcase learning to dive with BSAC branches to a wider audience.

Scuba diving is an accessible, life-changing sport and through BSAC and its enthusiastic club network, remains cost-effective, social and highly enjoyable to learn. With the added support of MTA, we’re really looking forward to this year’s Try Dive campaign and to welcoming even more new divers into BSAC!”

Around 35,000 divers travel to Malta annually and the MTA is keen to increase this niche market.
