Malta appoints Nina Ruge as VIP ambassador for Germany

The Malta Tourism Authority, through the MTA’s German office based in Frankfurt, has appointed the popular German TV host and author Ms. Nina Ruge as one of Malta’s VIP ambassadors, especially for the German  market.

Well-known celebrity Nina Ruge shall be giving German travellers a better understanding of the special diversity of our islands, the smallest and southernmost EU-country. To kick-off her ambassadorship, as it were, Ms. Ruge will travel to Malta next week with a group of select German journalists. Furthermore she will be producing, together with MTA Germany, a brochure highlighting her ‘secret’ tips for getting the most out of a holiday in Malta and Gozo.

“I am very glad about this appointment as Malta’s VIP ambassador. The islands are small but have so much to offer. I am personally fascinated by Malta’s 7,000 years of history and culture, in particular the mystic prehistoric temples and the time of the Knights. Moreover, in Malta and Gozo one can find incredibly warm hearted and hospitable people who contribute tremendously to a visitor’s enjoyable stay.   Within the Maltese islands you can discover your Mediterranean “self”, whilst relaxing and enjoying all that there is to enjoy” said Ms. Ruge.

Joseph Galea, the MTA’s Director International Marketing remarked that “With Mrs. Ruge we have found a Malta fan who is a very convincing ambassador, and enjoys an excellent standing in Germany for many years. She is very passionate about Malta and we are convinced that Nina Ruge will give German travellers a very good understanding of the various facets of our islands such as history and culture, culinary aspects and also the numerous wellness and sports facilities.”
