Cafè Brasil- Botafogu featuring Catia Werneck

For the second year running, Fringe! Productions presents Cafè Brasil, now become a much awaited annual concert that aims to expose the culture , passion and virtuosity in Brasilian music. Last years event was a massive success with audiences who filled the concert hall on two nights, thirsty for the emotion and passion of Brasilian style.

Cafè Brasil presents Botafogu, an exceptional quartet of Paris based jazz musicians led by the French bass player Jacques Figueras,. Their music is a tribute to the great composer and multi-instrumentalist Hermeto Pascoal and to other major Brazilian figures such as Pixinguinha,and Tom Jobim.

Band members include guitarist Sandro Zerafa, pandero extraordinaire Segio Krakowsky and flutist Jocelyn Mienniel. Special guest for this concert is none other than Brazilian singer Catia Werneck, one of the most prominent Brazilian singers in Paris at the moment. Botafogu will be presenting their own material, a selection of sambas and bossa novas including original songs by Catia and Brazilian and standards.

Fringe! events are being established and sought after for their originality, entertainment and high artistic value by a growing, enthusiastic and more discerning audience.
