Dr. Mario De Marco’s official visit to the Grand Hotel Excelsior

The Grand Hotel Excelsior was delighted to welcome Dr. Mario De Marco, Parliamentary Secretary, for his first official visit to the Hotel on Monday 4th August 2008.

The General Manager, Mr. Norbert Grixti, Director of Operations, Mr. David Debono, Ass Director of Operations, Mr. Bradley Dingli and Sales & Marketing Manager, Ms. Caroline Farrugia greeted Dr. De Marco. The Parliamentary Secretary was escorted on a show around of the hotel then hosted to a reception in the Chart Room.

Mr. Grixti said, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to show off this hotel that we are all so proud of, we are in the final stages of completion and things have really taken shape. It has been an honor to show Dr. De Marco around and get his impressions and views on the Hotel. We would also like to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to come and experience the Grand Hotel Excelsior, to feel free to do so, we would be more then happy to show you around

The Grand Hotel Excelsior opened its doors to the public last September. The team currently makes up 400 employees, Dr. De Marco took the time to speak to some of the employees and congratulate them on their hard work and dedication.

Ms. Farrugia stated “ A hotel without it’s people is just another building, at the Grand Hotel Excelsior we believe that the product is our people, the service they offer and how they deliver it, we invest heavily in training and are very selective as to who we employ. Our people are the ones to build the brand image, and are conveying this message every day when interacting with our guests. The successful running of a hotel is a team effort and no one person can take credit for a job well done.”
