5th edtion of the P1 Malta Grand Prix of the Sea

The speed and glamour of the P1 Grand Prix's powerboats graced the Grand Harbour.

Jim O’Toole said that Malta is an excellent location for the race with the right facilities and an amazing backdrop, and that despite this being the final year of the agreement with Malta he is confident the race will be back next year. This year’s edition took place between the 5th and the 8th of June in finer weather than last year, albeit with a few showers.

Malta's own Adrian Ciantar lived up to the expectation by winning the races in his category and doing Malta proud by staying top of the table and achieving the home win.

Mr Kevin Drake, Director PR and Communications at the MTA, stated that these top quality events, place Malta firmly on the favourite destinations list, and continue to add to Malta’s reputation as a happening place to be.
