'Marry Me' in Malta

Successful film shooting of German TV documentary „Heirate Mich!“ (Marry Me!) From 10-16 March major German private TV station RTL II has filmed an episode of its TV documentary “Heirate Mich!” in Malta.

According to the concept of the TV series, a young German woman, accompanied by her best friend and a film crew, travelled to Malta. There she is in search of romantic and exceptional locations for the proposal as well as the wedding ceremony in order to suprise her unsuspecting boyfriend whom she told she had to go abroad to take part in an off-the-job-training. After all preparations and arrangements had been finalised by her, the groom to-be arrived in Malta on March 15th together with some friends, relatives, a second film team as well as famous German TV presenter Mrs. Aleksandra Bechtel.

This TV documentary does not only give an excellent exposure to the beauty of Malta’s sights but also shows various situations in which the bride encounters kind and helpful Maltese people assisting her. The filming was supported by the Malta Tourism Authority, Air Malta and the Radisson SAS Baypoint Hotel. The film crews were full of praise for Malta’s exceptional and breathtaking locations as well as the excellent organisation and flexible support during the film shooting.
