    The Match took place at Ta’ Qali on the 9th of January and to the joy of the Valletta and Maltese supporters, Valletta came out tops.  After the match ended in a draw, Valletta put pay to the game by saving two Juventus penalties, to become the winners of the first Betfair Trophy on the score 5 – 4.

  • MTA reaction to the NSO tourism figures for November 2007 & 2007 round-up

    The National Statistics Office (NSO) stated this morning that the official tourism figures for November 2007 include an increase in tourists of %15.3 over the same month last year, bringing the January - November totals to 1,191,978, or an increase of 114,225 tourists over the same period in 2006, which is equal to an increase of %10.6.  It is therefore a foregone conclusion that 2007 will be an all-time record for the Maltese tourism industry, especially wherein tourist numbers are concerned, the 'record' year so far having been the year 2000 with 1.215 million tourists recorded.

  • Rock band No Snow No Alps heading off to Denmark

    Rock band nosnow/noalps have just released their First single 'Taking My Time', on all local radio stations and are now off to Copenhagen in Denmark to play three shows.
