  • Visitmalta.com amongst best rated by a prominent Swiss newspaper

    According to a research done by the Sunday newspaper "Sonntag" by a panel of web experts, the visitmalta.com was rated the 4th best out of 40 most preferred holiday destinations by the Swiss. Only Spain, Switzerland itself and the United Kingdom have a been rated better.

  • Malta International Choir Festival and Competition

    The Ministry for Culture and Tourism has announced that another edition of the International Festival and Competition for Choirs is being held in Malta between 1 and 4 November, 2007.

  • Nadur as a "European Destination of Excellence

    Nadur, Gozo is among ten European destinations which have been awarded by the EU as “European Destinations of Excellence” (EU-“EDEN” project) on the occasion of the Annual Tourism Forum held in Algarve last month. The focus of the award is on sites which allow tourists to experience rural life and to be involved in agrotourism.

    The Malta Tourism Authority is pleased to announce that the four-star Pergola Club Hotel in Mellieħa is the first hotel property to have successfully completed the MTA Quality Service Certification. This certification is awarded following an audit which was carried out by MEJORIS Hospitality Consultancy Services over the past weeks.

  • MTA Conference on HR Best Practices in Tourism

    The Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) recently hosted a half day conference at the Hilton, Malta where the findings of a study on successful HR practices in the local tourism industry, were presented. The study was conducted by MISCO following interviews with personnel in the tourism industry involved in staff recruitment and development, travel and catering services. This conference also served to exchange information and provide insight into successful HR practices in the tourism industry.

  • Ryanair flying Malta–Stockholm

    Ryanair started the new service from Malta to Stockholm on October 31. Flights leave Malta at 11:35 with an estimated time of arrival of 15:45. Flights from Stockholm leave at 07:10, arriving at Luqa Airport by 11:10. The new flights were announced back in July.
