Match of Legends

In a press conference held on the September 18 at the new Excelsior Hotel, the Malta Music festival organisers introduced some of the Italian players in the match of Italy vs England taking place on the November 1. Present at the tope table were Beppe Signori and Riccardo Felli.

The organisers put to the audience the idea that the football teams might also integrate both Italian singers and English DJ’s and maybe honorary “foreign players” like Welsh legend Ian Rush. Riccardo Felli said that this would certainly raise the interest value of the match, making it more entertaining.

The official team formations have not been announced and Felli said it was important for tactical reasons. Both Italian players are keen to offer an entertaining match but more importantly they aim to win. With the same attitude and determination shown by the English side in an earlier press conference, the game promises to be not just a match of legends but also a clash of the titans!!

Ticket sales are doing well and with the concert by Simply Red on the November 2 a sporting and musical spectacle to remember are definitely on the cards.
