The Malta Tourism Authority appoints Media Consulta as its international Communications partner

The Malta Tourism Authority today officially appointed its new international Communications partner, Media Consulta International Holding AG. The agency was awarded the three-year contract for Advertising and Marketing Communications Services, with the option to extend for a further year, following a lengthy international tendering process that was officially concluded less than two weeks ago. Media Consulta will be responsible for a €7 million annual account covering the Malta Tourism Authority’s media, advertising, selected PR services, events and sales promotion activities.

Commenting on the appointment of Media Consulta as the MTA's international Communications partners, MTA Chairman Sam Mifsud stated that "I am confident that the Malta Tourism Authority has appointed an international agency that will not only deliver what was promised us, but go beyond our expectations. In the many meetings and presentations we’ve had with Media Consulta, its more than evident that these people have what it takes, and, more importantly, have the vision and the know-how to significantly enhance Malta’s image and presence internationally". Meanwhile, the Minister for Tourism and Culture, Dr. Francis Zammit Dimech, welcomed this development and augured that this will lead the Malta Tourism Authority to have a higher return for the money invested in its Marketing. Minister Zammit Dimech said that "having one agency representing our tourism interests in all core markets should ensure a co-ordinated and clear message of what product Malta is all about".
