Airmalta plc is back to compete the market
On May 4 2007 at 15:45 hours, KM 657 from Venice, landed at the Malta International Airport. This is a new destination in order to expand the Airmalta market direct flights.

Tourists on inaugural flight regaled with a warm Maltese welcome.
The Malta Tourism Authority, coordinated by the hospitality division, offered the highly appreciated celebration that has already welcomed Ryanair, Germanwings and British Airways.
The marvelous welcome at the arrival lounge for the inaugural flight from Venice included flowers and honey rings presented to all those alighting from the flight immersed in a fantastic atmosphere courtesy of a Maltese brass band playing famous “Maltese village festa” marches.
Although the flight was 35% full the passengers were impressed with the welcome they found awaiting them at Malta International Airport. The short celebration ended with a spontaneous applause from all.
