Team Building @ The MTA
The foundation of a good team is having a shared commitment to common objectives.
As an organisation that strongly believes in people as the most valuable resource, the collective performance and the development of its employees, the Malta Tourism Authority will continue focusing on building better working relationships through extensive training programmes explicitly designed for all employees at all levels. One of these is Team Building training, a tailor-made programme where the entire workforce will undergo a two-day training programme with specific short-tem and long-term objectives. Team building training is a means of ensuring better working relationships, increase employee motivation and focuses on the importance of excellent quality service expected by our guests, stakeholders and colleagues alike. It also builds confidence in our people to implement a shared vision with goals and action plans, and the ability to use team dynamics to efficiently implement and manage projects. The programme will run until the first week of June and it is held at Mount St. Joseph – Targa Gap. In all, 140 MTA employees will attend this training including management. The CEO, David Mifsud, who is opening the 5 sessions of training said in the opening session:
A strong team, a team that works well together and that communicates well, can overcome any obstacles and achieve anything. The MTA is gradually becoming one such team, and we will channel all our efforts and resources to ensure that this will happen for the benefit of the Authority’s staff, the Trade, and Malta as a whole
