Olivia Lewis promoting Malta on MTV

Malta will be promoted via 168 thirty-second spots on MTV Europe in the coming weeks, more specifically in the Eastern European region.

The advert, promoting Olivia Lewis' Eurovision entry Vertigo as well as Malta, will be aired on the MTV Europe feeds in Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Luxembourg, Moldova, Slovakia and Ukraine. The campaign, proposed by MTV Europe's local representatives, Euromedia, headed by Ms. Grace Borg, and confirmed by the Maltasong committee, is being financed by the Malta Tourism Authority. The thirty second advert combines excerpts from the video clip of Olivia Lewis' Vertigo, with nocturnal scenes of Maltese landmarks, with a soundtrack of the Vertigo song, naturally. In the final seconds of the clip, Olivia Lewis appears, inviting people to "Visit Malta once and you'll visit us forever". The thirty second advert, produced by Where's Everybody, was officially launched during a press conference addressed by the Minister for Tourism and Culture, Dr. Francis Zammit Dimech, on Wednesday the 26th of April.
