ITS Alumni Association Launched
20 years on, after the set up of the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) a group of ITS past students met to revive the Alumni Association. An ad hoc committee was set up from school buddies and ex-colleagues with a common objective to facilitate Continuous Professional Development through lifelong learning, establish a networking platform with ITS past students, as well as be a point of reference between the ITS and the Alumni.
The first event the association will be organising would be a social get-together at the ITS, Pembroke Suite on the 25th April 2007 to reunite past students, some of whom may not have met since graduation. The invitation is open to any past student who attended a programme of studies at the ITS since its inception in 1987. The main goal for this event is to rekindle dormant friendships to create positive change in the hospitality industry.
The ad hoc committee would like to take this opportunity to appeal to ITS Past Students to register for ‘FREE’ in order to set-up a data base to facilitate a communication channel. Applications can be either collected from the ITS Reception Desk or by contacting Mrs Rosetta Thornhill at rosetta.thornhill@gov.mt or by post ‘The ITS Alumni Association, c/o Mrs Rosetta Thornhill, Bajja San Gorg, San Giljan STJ 02, Malta.’
